More & more all-round

Uniformity makes way for diversity.

Options are optimised. An evergreen takes the step from grid sizes to customisation. Trends are there to be followed, for example curved shapes, display glass and vertical light. Wiemann is increasingly positioning itself as an all-rounder.

Monaco is the evergreen of bedroom ranges: sliding, folding, corner and walk-in wardrobes with matching beds and dressers. Regular updates extend Monaco’s shelf life. In no time, you’ll find a new bedroom trend cropping up as a new option in the range. For example, you get display fronts for all hinged-door wardrobes, for all widths and the two heights. The glass can be clear or tinted.

Now the organic trend is so prevalent in the furniture world, Wiemann has responded with a quarter-round end element for the built-in cabinets. This in itself is already quite remarkable for this German manufacturer. The breaking news is: 100% customisation for the hinged and folding door cabinets. The height, depth and chamfering are precisely tailor-made. Who would have expected that? This is a completely different ball game for Wiemann!

The other news is more prosaic. Lava grey as a lighter variation of graphite. Nordic oak as an accent. The Delft bed offers eight height options for the headboard: from 634 to 970 mm. You choose from two sizes of headboard, which can be mounted on the bed frame at four different heights. Two times four is eight, that’s all there is to it.

What is a wardrobe without light? Indeed, you have lighting inside and on top of the cabinet. A new development is the vertical LED lighting. In one iteration, the light profile is integrated into the side of a wardrobe door. When you shut the wardrobe, this light comes on. The adjacent doors are illuminated sideways. A different iteration sees the light profile attached to the centre panel of the wardrobe. Thus an illuminated dividing line is created between the two doors. This lighting shines straight ahead. The positioning of the LED profile determines the mood, with subtle indirect or clearer direct light.

Voilà: an impression of Wiemann, live from Brussels.
