Showtime, party time

The Brussels Furniture Fair 2024 has drawn to a close. What an edition!

The fair was fizzing with positive vibes. A huge amount of buzz and enthusiasm was apparent on the stands, with drinks being enjoyed and a celebratory atmosphere. The fair vibe at its best. We can all look back with satisfaction at a successful fair. Brussels is solid as a rock and wonderfully vibrant! This bodes well for 2025.

Prior to the fair, tensions were running high. To what extent would the economic climate have a negative effect on the visitors and exhibitors? Fortunately things turned out to be much better than expected. It’s true that there were 3.5% fewer visitors than in 2023, but this came as no surprise. One has to be realistic. But this did not dampen the enthusiasm! The overarching mentality was: let’s go for it! The positive energy was apparent everywhere. And positive energy breeds more positive energy… and this infuses everything.

Take the exhibitors, for example: so many new stands! Each more spectacular than the last. So many new names and brands, from Scandinavia to Italy. And still so many loyal exhibitors from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond. This alone gave an enormous boost to the mood and atmosphere at the fair. A feast for the eye equalled pure enjoyment.

Take the offering that was being presented, for example: so many new collections! There was no treading water, but progress. Exhibitors have invested heavily in model development, brand experience, customer journeys, sustainability and new sales channels. How often is Brussels seen as a springboard for export? New exhibitors in particular reacted with surprise: “Brussels is truly more than a small regional, Belgian fair.”

Take the enthusiasm of the visitors and the exhibitors. The corridors were radiating with their energy: you could see models being demonstrated, discussions being held with pen and paper in hand. As always, asking visitors for feedback yielded a mixed response. In general, people were pleased with the results they had achieved. And this is absolutely fantastic to hear!

Last but not least, there’s the fair’s legendary conviviality. You were given every opportunity to socialise and network. Whether a happy hour, an anniversary reception, networking drinks or a late-night candlelit event. A fair is a celebration, so let’s party!

To cut a long story short: the Brussels Furniture Fair has proven its international legitimacy!

The next show goes on from 2 to 5 November 2025!
