From box to base
Box springs were the core of the business. ‘Were’, because now bases have been developed.
Not just any base, but a cosy & compact customising concept. The base has the allure of a stylish bed: featuring modular configuration with fabrics, headboard, feet, and accessories. The ergonomic sleeping comfort is and remains of paramount importance. The look and feel provide the emotional comfort. Logistical gains also play a role in the B2B process.
M line made a name for itself with its box spring collection. An innovative spirit has now led to the development of the M line Element. The base comprises a metal wire grid topped with two comfort layers. The base is available in both a fixed and an electrically adjustable version. This electrical version is fitted with USB/USC ports and floor lighting with movement sensor as standard.
Once the base is in place, the modelling and styling can start. You have the choice of 4 headboards: each model appeals to a different style. For example, minimalist or retro? The feet fit in with this, sometimes linking to the headboard. There they form a striking detail such as with the Spirit setting.
The core of the concept is the upholstery of the base and the headboard. M line Element offers a wide range of fabrics. Over time, the upholstery can be changed – as an extra service of course. The basic frame is said to be indestructible. Those elements which are subject to wear and tear are easy to replace. In this respect, the concept meets ‘the right to repair’ norms.
The logistical advantage lies in the flat-packed delivery. All modular components are packaged separately, in a box or rolled up (the comfort layers). This saves valuable space during transport, meaning fewer kilometres overall! This all falls under the ‘improving sustainability’ category.
