ALL TABLES EXCEPT…
The status of furniture is evolving.
The dining table has been upgraded to a living table. But what about all the other tables? Coffee and occasional tables, side tables and consoles? They are an unmissable link in any interior plus/therefore a successful revenue model. It’s only logical that these additional tables are very much a contemporary thing: small shift, big effect.
In recent years, WR Inspired has been sharpening its focus on the coffee and side table collection. A niche in the furniture market with market potential. These render an interior lighter and far more playful. Take out a coffee table, and insert a set of smaller tables. Shift their position slightly and you have a whole new set up, immediately creating a different mood. In fact, these tables are a redesign of the nesting tables of the sixties and seventies. This revival began in the 2010s as a retro trend, but is here to stay. The same is true of the urban jungle interior trend. Where and how do you position these plants? Eureka! Focusing on the smaller tables turns out to be a brilliant move.
The common thread continues to be metal in combination with natural materials such as marble, glass and wood veneer. All tables are Made in Europe, Designed in Belgium. The Diamo set has become a classic of its kind. Its upright steel frame (profile size 20/40) is set at an optimally calculated angle. Thus, you can perfectly nest three Diamos, sliding them into one another. As befits a classic, there are regular updates: the latest colour is oyster-white metal combined with Breccia Reale marble from Northern Italy. Breccia references the broken stone texture, while Reale stands for royal. Clearly an exclusive, high-quality marble.
Letto is an organic duo set: the pebble-shaped tabletop sits atop three sturdy column legs. Letto is a play on words: the ceramic surface is em’bed’ded, set into a fine metal rim. You see contrasting shapes: organic versus geometric, robust versus slender, bold versus elegant. This time the visual thread is ‘rosso’: Terra Rosso metal, Calacatta Rosso ceramic.
The blend of opposites and the colour match come back in nearly every series. For example, anodic brown metal paired with Emperador Brown marble (Leandre, Rhea).
The big news at the fair: the coffee table Anfora. The heart-shaped leaf form of the tabletop is simply magnificent!
