Up to now, Wünder always based its outdoor collections on 8 -10 people. Until reality bit. ‘Smaller living is a reality indoors, and even more so outdoors.’ The concept of The Duo began with a compact two-in-one set for two people. A flat-packed table with integrated seating for two. Once assembled, The Duo takes up just 142 x 70 cm of space, weighs a mere 25 kilos, and stands on just four legs (instead of twelve). All very handy! Easy to transport, simple to assemble, and deployable anywhere. The construction is fixed; not so the usage. For at home, for hospitality settings, beside a sports field…
With public spaces in mind, The Duo became a modular concept. You can position sets individually, and slide them together to create a (meters-)long table. You decide what makes most sense at any given moment. Handy additions for hospitality settings include floor anchors and bag buddies, a bag hook beneath the tabletop, affixed to the leg. This keeps bags off the floor, in sight, and to hand. The Duo solves all kinds of issues: guests typically get up and leave chairs pulled out. Sliding them back beneath the table seems to be an issue. Chairs standing around at all angles look so messy, give such a sloppy impression. The Duo always looks neat! Makes cleaning the floor a whole lot quicker: a lifesaver for hospitality settings.
