TANGIBLE EXPERIENCE
Davis Textiles will have a stand at the Brussels Furniture Fair for the first time:
that is, explicitly under their own name. Their fabrics had been anonymously on display at the fair for years: on the models of numerous bedding and seating manufacturers. The Polish firm’s strengths lie in upholstery fabrics and marketing support, including lab testing. Online the fabrics come to life in a visually ‘tangible’ way. You can view and listen to trends. The latest news? Outdoor fabrics!
So why exhibit in Brussels now? ‘Both to support our partners and to expand our name recognition.’ For anyone who is not yet familiar with Davis Textiles: the firm operates worldwide in the mainstream segment. The range consists of upholstery fabrics, mainly polyester weaves in all shapes and sizes, plus ultrasonic quilted fabrics and — less known — printed textiles (including for home accessories). Around 90 contemporary fabrics in an average of 14 colours are deliverable from stock (some 12 million metres!) from logistics hubs in various European countries. The Benelux and France are supplied from the warehouse in Poland. In their own words: Over a 30-year period we have grown to become the market leader in the European furniture sector with a 20 -25% market share!’
In Brussels the latest collections will be presented, among other things. Huggability continues to be a hot item, but teddy bear fabrics and velvets have passed their peak. You are now seeing more soft and variegated textured weaves. The colour palette is shifting from grey to cream shades such as eggshell and off-white. Every year Davis publishes a Trend Book, a co-production with talented figures from the Polish creative scene. The 88-page 2025/2026 edition features mid-century, eclecticism, soft brutalism and soft minimalism. If you’re interested in even more background information, you can listen to the Davis podcasts.
In any case, the R&D department collaborates closely with international experts to develop patterns, compositions, colours and technical innovations. Did you know that Davis has an accredited testing laboratory? Any furniture professional can call upon the Davis Lab. Perhaps you want to check if your fabric supplier’s data is correct? It’s simple to request one or more specific tests: all you need to do is fill in a form on the website!
Davis knows how efficiently online presentation can work. The collections are presented dynamically and interactively on the website. The fabric sample moves – as if you are holding it in your hand. You see the texture, softness and stiffness come to life. You can download the complete photo package without log-in codes.
But online will never be a substitute for live. Fabrics are something you need and want to touch. Hence the stand in Brussels.
