The 75th anniversary has at once become a creative and inventive milestone.
A colour such as ochre gold. Original applications of the Eames shell or the Bauhaus tubular frame. Sitting evolving into lounging or rocking. A more environmentally friendly and life-course-resistant mattress.
The Recor Group was a feast for the eye – because it surpassed itself on multiple fronts.
Take Recor Seating for starters: the Massimo sofa and the accompanying armchairs Fabio and Piero. These stand out for the combination with a(n optional) walnut shell. For the sofa, this encircles the armrests, for the armchairs it clasps the back. With these models, Recor offers an alternative to the popular seventies retro. The walnut takes us back to the mid-century style and the iconic Eames lounge chair. Vintage and design classics are currently performing well in the market. The Vento model links to the Bauhaus style: the curved metal tubular frame embraces the soft cushions.
Recor Seating launched some seven new sofas and three new armchair concepts, including a rocking chair. The transformation was complete: such fashionable colours and textures, such soft Italian leather, such a sophisticated mix of fabric and leather, … and … There is a similar story unfolding at Belform. Take the Oscar model, for example: the reclining position extends at a push of a button.
An equally inventive spirit runs through Recor Bedding. The pinnacle is the Infini mattress: no glue is required. All components are separately encased in loose covers. Thanks to a system of zip fastenings, you can fully open up your mattress, give it extra ventilation, and if necessary, ‘dismantle’ it—in order to partially replace/recycle it. Some parts are more susceptible to sweat or wear-and-tear than others. What’s more, your body changes over the years, and therefore places different demands on sleeping comfort. You can partially replace the Infini mattress: the pocket springs, the comfort layer and/or the covers. This makes it both more durable and life-course-resistant!
The second innovation is the linear adjustable bed base with SMART technology – in the entry-level Wave collection. All wellness functions have been included, such as pre-programmed sleeping positions, the ‘zero gravity’ position and an exclusive massage function. The ultimate proof? Place a ping-pong ball on the mattress: then you will see the circular massage movements. No further explanation necessary!
