ROM introduces Escapade 2.0

Anyone familiar with the ROM group from Eupen will have heard of Escapade, a range of models that can safely be described as iconic.

Now the ROM group is relaunching the collection as an independent brand on the European market. Their ambition is to offer a fresh vision of contemporary furniture, and to appeal to a new generation of consumers. Escapade has its own identity, its own aesthetic language, and a positioning that complements the existing ROM1961-collections. The goal? To achieve growth over the long term.

‘Creation’ has always been ROM’s guiding principle, and that still holds true today. The Belgian firm collaborates with a series of designers, and in recent years has delivered almost fifty collections via a range of brands: ROM1961, ROM One, ROM Tonight, as well as numerous in-house collections. All these brands are a central pillar of the group’s strategy. They are now joined by Escapade, a project that both design and R&D teams have been working on for more than a year. The result? A collection featuring sculptural lines, more organic shapes and carefully selected materials. More expressive, more daring, but still designed for everyday use. The first prototypes were received with great enthusiasm during a roadshow that took in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Escapade features a number of key innovations: making personalisation more intuitive (optional monogram), making the choice less complex (individual adjustment of the seating comfort, even after purchase) and guiding the customer towards a faster purchasing decision (via a digital configurator). Another important point is FLOW: a textile innovation inspired by nature. Read: the first sofa with a complete colour gradient, where the colour transitions naturally from the base to the top of the backrest.

At the Brussels Furniture Fair, ROM can be found in Hall 5.
