In the interim, a great deal has changed. The Sinfonie-Plus range has crystalised into a persistently good seller. Innovations follow a biennial rhythm. Ecological aspirations are a core part of the business model. Staud has recently obtained three (!) professional eco certifications. A great example to follow…
Staud is an integral part of Sinfonie Plus. There will be two new replacement displays in Brussels. Trentino is a warmer oak colour, and the new anthracite is an almost black shade. With the glass, ivory replaces almond. You’ll find these new looks everywhere in the Sinfonie Plus bedroom range. In the sliding door cabinets category, the Avigo cabinet has been expanded with a shiny black glass front. These are the most important innovations for 2024/2025.
Only releasing news every other year is quite unusual. So what’s the rationale behind it? This gives innovations time to ‘ripen’, and more opportunity to grow into a commercial success. It’s also true of furniture that every change goes hand in hand with an acclimatisation phase before it is embraced by the general public. The biennial rhythm also chimes perfectly with the sustainable business policy.
So how do you think, act and provide proof in a more environmentally friendly way? New climate-friendly measures are officially certified by renowned German authorities. Staud has achieved DGM Klimapakt Möbelindustrie, RAL Gütezeichen Klimaneutral and Der Blaue Engel certification.
Environmentally friendly claims are qualified with the “resources SAVED ®’’ label. A few figures: an annual reduction of 280 tonnes of CO2 (2018) thanks to the solar panel installation; 342 tonnes fewer greenhouse gas emissions (2020); and a 2824-tonne reduction in raw material consumption (2020) as a result of recycling PE, PP, plastics, paper and cardboard. These audits were carried out by the environmental advice bureau Interseroh.
Greenwashing? These eco-labels are respectable, objective quality certifications. Germany and its furniture industry are leaders in this field – particularly in light of the obligatory sustainability reporting (CSRD) from 2024/2025.
